It has been growing steadily over the last couple of weeks and now I have decided to up my Instagram game.
Just like search your content needs to be SEO strong if you want organic traffic. The same seems to apply on Instagram with their Hashtags
So I set out out to better understand how to do Instagram Hashtag research …
#Hashtags To Crank Up Your Content Marketing
To find related Hashtags into current trends & “bordering” concepts you can use Google+/Explore.
Hashtags on Google+ are very time sensitive, they reflect what’s trending right now. This makes them useful for finding topic’s that’ll resonate with your audience. Make sure to check Google+ Hashtags for the most popular topics.
Another handy tool for Hashtag research is Hashtagify. It’s a tool that identifies “related” tags by showing common words that appear near your core Hashtag.
HashAtIt allows you to search any Hashtag in your niche. It will then search for relevant content on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. In this content pieces you will see relevant hashtags to your niche.
You should then go break it down and create your own Hashtag lists for your specific nice and mix it up as you post content. Use a tool like tailwind to see how your posts are performing and use those hashtags more frequently.
What I have also noticed works is to follow influencers on Instagram in your specific niche. Have a look at what they do. Images, Hashtags etc. And model it. Just make sure you make it unique to you or your business.
Keyhole is a tool to show you the volume of posts along a timeline while giving top posts, most influential people engaging with that hashtag as well as related tags and a few more stats. Not a bad tool to find related hashtags and influencers.
A handy tool I came across is tailwind. This tool can be used to perform a variety of different functions. Smart Scheduling, Analytics on Post Success, Basic Profile & Board Metrics, Basic Website Insights ect.
If you are a blogger or small business with less than 100 employees it will cost you $9.99 per month. Not bad. You can also run a free trial with no time limit that will allow you to schedule 30 posts on Instagram before deciding if a paid plan is right for you. No payment details needed.
If you like me and enjoy working from your desktop. I can recommend Gramblr to upload from your PC. It works well.
Don’t Overcomplicate It
You can use just one or two of these tools to start off with and do more than enough hashtag research for your particular niche.
I personally use Hashtagify and HashAtIt to build my hashtag lists. I also follow influencers and model what they do. Then make sure you post on a daily basis and keep it consistent.
